Welcome and how it all began...

Updated: Apr 29, 2021

Wow, so here we are! Absolutely cannot believe that we are here, what a journey!

What started off as a little hobby and dream is actually now a huge reality, I'm still pinching myself! I am humbled beyond belief!

For as long as I can remember I have always loved making, giving and presenting gifts. I would jump at the opportunity to make favours, make candles, wrap gifts, etc. Birthdays, weddings and anniversaries, etc was 'my thing'!

I kind of fell into making candles and before I knew it I was making candles for friends for weddings, baby showers, dinner parties and hen parties!

I remember that 4 days before my own wedding I was making up an order for a McMillan cancer event, and spent quite a while perfecting the specific shade of green!!!!

I love crafting the products to perfection and have a habit of starting over many times until its completely perfect, it may take me double the time, but what can I say, I'm a perfectionist!! Seeing the reaction of the receiver makes it all worthwhile :-)

I must say, that one my favourite projects has to be putting together bespoke wedding favours and I have so many warm and fond memories and remember each and every order I have put together. A lot of love and attention goes into every order, as wedding favours are so personal, and it's not a 'one size fits all'.

I remember my brother was arranging his wedding and I said to him "can I please please make your wedding favours", and he looked at me like I was a crazy person!! Come to think of it, he still looks at me like a I'm a crazy person!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe that what started out on a night out, with a cousin saying to me, 'Raps, you should sell some of your candles and stuff'. And here I am selling my 'candles and stuff'!!!!!

I know that i would never have done this unless I wasn't being pushed to come out of my comfort zone, and it's the best thing that I have done. This journey is giving me a little bounce in my step and a little more self confidence :-)

Thank you for travelling this journey with me, and please stay tuned for more of the madness from 'Rap's world'!!!!

I'll be blogging about new products, how I put things together, etc. If there is anything else that you would like to see please leave a comment below or drop me a line!
